Lots of things to say, so much anger towards Nintendo
*points to link as he kicks the crap out of Volvagia with the mega-ton hammer* (note: Volvagia is the Lava Dragon from Zelda: Ocarina of Time)
Link will always win...
Hero of Time > Dragons
And as a side note, "Zelda: The Wind Waker" was cell shaded and had a light-hearted touch, but there were dark parts to it and was a badass game.
I think it's still one of my faves, when I say the series is going down hill, I refer to several things:
1. Nintendo's marketing is STUPID. If you go to gamestop to buy and play Zelda: 4 Swords Adventure (4-player) and ALREADY HAVE A GAMECUBE, you will be looking to spend alot of money:
~Zelda:4 Swords - 49.99 (includes 1 link cable for the GBA)
~4 Gameboy Advances (USED versions of the original GBA) - 49.99 a piece.
~3 extra Link Cables for the GBA - 14.99 a piece
~1 Memory Card (if you dont have one already) - 29.99
SO, at worst, assuming all you have is a Gamecube, you'll be looking to spend 324.91 BEFORE TAX on one mediocre game...
This process was the same for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. All I have to say is "Nintendo, when did screwing over your fans for large sums of money become THIS disgusting?"
I can understand this from Microsoft, or Sony... BUT NINTENDO... Jesus...
2. (yeah, that first one was a long reason, eh?) They have been doing this rounded link crap for far too long.
3. Zelda and Metroid are the only series nintendo has that is considered "Serious" in some aspects... Just remember that those of us who arent 12 anymore are starting to want the games to grow up a little. If you want to appeal to a larger audience, dont hide under the guise that "Kids like this look" because thats utter B.S.! I work at gamestop and get kids coming in EVERY DAY looking to buy Counter Strike, Halo, Man Hunt, Grand Theft Auto... But I cant... because its rated M for mature... You know what they say to that? All the E games are crappy kids games. *Im looking at you Nintendo*
Well then, theres my board rant for the week... Hopefully...
