The wait is killing me

I wish Blizzard would hurry up and tell me how to create an account. Im going out of my tiny mind right now.

you can calm down...

Xyx gave me his beta account for my birthday, and its really not all its cracked up to be....
but if you like running around, doing little "kill things and take the blank from the monsters dead body" and the whole "level up and prosper" thing, you will enjoy this game immsensly

Its not so much that Im pumped because its another MMORPG, its more that its another Blizzard game, and a WarCraft one at that.

I am also of the opinion that WoW is one of the prettier MMO's out there. Alot of artistic creativity went into this game.

You're quite right about that last point, and the blizzard touch is definatly there, but those both wore off me after the first week or so of playing, and it just fell victim to the same problems every other MMORPG does
But maybe theyll fix that before release. I kind of hope they dont...I dont need another temptation to attatch its symbiotic tendrils to my pocketbook

Friend of mine in TX has been in the beta for a while now. She keeps me up to date. All I have to say about that game, is that dancing is just plain wrong. Especially the elven chicks...

It's all about this Folks: (Half Life 2)

HL2? It looks good, but Im not going to get it.

Yeah ok that looks cool...but ...

HALO 2!!!

only thing is it costs to much for Xbox...

I very much disliked halo, but am excited for halo 2 for some reason.

Fable is what im after now, and hoping Dawn of War is better than the beta is so far once it goes gold

So I've heard as well...ah...elven chicks...

I dont know why you all are waisting your time, the best game this year is already out. Street Fighter Anneversary Collection. (It contains both Street Fighter II Hyper Edition, AND Street Fighter 3: Third Strike! Plus the Street Fighter II Animated Movie as a little added bonus)

So yeah. FPS games can sit down and hush up, its all about the REAL competition.

Silly console arcader. The life went out of the Street Fighter a long, long time ago. After a certain point, it's all just repetition, and the titles after 3 suffered from serious sequalitis. Frankly? Games are starting to bore me. Books are far more entertaining, as are RPG's... and no, I don't mean "like NwN".

Though, if I had to choose a title I was anxiously awaiting?

PC - HL2
Console - Ratchet and Clank 3: Up your arsenal

Get off it, Sean. As a serious gamer, you should have realized by now that there is no superior Genre. There will never be, nor should there ever be. SF:AC may be the best game in *your* eyes, but others have different priorities in what they want in terms of gaming.

GTFO with that lameness.

ok, since Ryan's post being rude as heck, I'll skip on up to Dave's post.

Street Fighter as a series has always been dead. Most people just don't like dated graphics, slow gameplay (Street Fighter 2 series), and overall repetitive characters. I personaly have been playing SF3 in arcades more than console for one reason. It JUST came out on a console that I own. It has been out on Dreamcast for a long time, but today (as in JUST got in) it was released in america on PS2. I like SF3(third strike) because it IS different from the other SF games including Capcom Vs SNK 2. Play around with it and you'll find that there's only 4 characters from the original street fighter games Ken,Ryu,Chun,Akuma in it. The rest are either completely new or (in Hugo's case) pulled out of an older Capcom beatem up. Granted 3d fighters are the "wave of the future", and yes, I love alot of those as well. Perhaps I should have said, the best "Street Fighter game just came out" instead of the best game period. And strictly in the defense of fighting games, people (for the most part) DO get bored with Fighters as a leazure game. It is repetitive. People that Ive played with (who play it alot, to this day) play it for the competition. You know the reason I GOT it on PS2? Because it doesnt waist my quarters to get better for the arcade. And unless you like the competition of a fighting game community there's a really good chance you WONT like street fighter nor think it to be a good series. Thats just how it is. I on the other hand love both Fighters AND RPGs, and both for completely different reasons.

On a totally unrelated note: Star Ocean III: Till the End of Time was just released by sqaure-enix. The reviewers have claimed that the battle system in this game is the best, hands down, of all the RPGs on the market to this date. That is a damn bold statement, but we'll see if the story holds up.

Don't know, I'm having fun on CoH, though it seems to be just like the other MMPORGs out there.

Might be checking back on DAoC since I've heard some of my friends have gotten back onto there. Will have to see though.

Anyone else play CoH?

I had played it for a weekend when I was at Sean and Leigh Ann's. If there were a couple things I really liked about the game, it was the way super powers were improved, and the combat. I severely enjoyed them.

Hmmm...I don't have anyone on Victory, but I could if more people are getting together to play. So far I have...

Virtue -
Beltine: lvl 8 Mutation Blaster (Energy/Fire)
Grekos (the Mad) - lvl 1 Magic Scrapper (Broadsword/Invulnerability)
Shadis - lvl 1 Magic Tanker (Invulnerability/Great Axe)
Hitmark - lvl 6 Technology Blaster (Fire/Fire)

Pinnacle -
Hitmark - Same as above, only level 1
Rinn's Warder (for a super team) - Magic Defender (Dark Aura, Dark Blast)

Champion -
Hakanakage - lvl 10 (I think) Magic Scrapper (Katan/Super Reflexes)

I'm personally looking forward to Ghost more than anything right now. Even Zelda. For some reason, I'm seeing World of Warcraft as a prettier Diablo II, but larger. I do not need another such addiction. Took me long enough to finally put that one down. Besides, we've all heard the rumors of Everquest.

Tried a little CoH at a friend's house. Looked like fun but it would cut into my Star Wars Galaxies time. Especially with the starship combat expansion coming in a month or so.......
Oh yeah, it's addictive.
