Season Favorites?

Well, the season is over now, and I was just wondering what stood out for everyone this year, was it the first event and the antisipation, or the last event and the crap load of people from everywhere?

I also just wanted to thank our awsome plot team and everyone involved in this season's awesomeness. I wasn't sure what it would be like coming back to NH, but you all made it amazing and memorable.

I don't have a list of favorites for this season, but the one that does stick out is the day a used all my spells. That had never happend before and I was so satisfied and scared cause it was only Saturday night!

In the end I think it was a great first season, here's to many, many more!
 
my favorite of the entire season is that for a year ben and steph would tell me about syrandor thsi and syrandor that..and then we went and npc'd a year at caldaria and at npc camp it was syrandor this and syrandor that....so we were really wondering what a NH game would be like andwell....we were pleasantly surprised...and honestly love the staff to death! i mean really if i could squeeze them all any harder their eyes would pop out..

season favorites:
1. thrace getting murdered...tzydl was bawling....
2. wynn NOT apologizing to fevergrey...even though we all were telling him to
3. jabberwocky with drool dribbling and stuff...just plain gross.....
4. i summon a force to disarm your theodin...
5. fevergrey appearing at last winter feast and me not knowing who he was but the looks on Thrace's and Mistress Keeley's faces said it all..this guy was bad...
6. the INTENSITY of the barbarians vs. fae/mwe's etc. that one event...jeepers i actually felt what it was like to be prejudiced against a race..i mean i really disliked every barbarian there regardless of the fact that he had or had not dissed the fae. I thought it was going to be civil war.
7. the three italian family wiseguys selling hamburgers and hotdogs
8. the other guys selling components SLAYING PRICES!
9. what's with all the CONSTRUCTS?? jeepers!
10. Finding out the new permanant site had a tavern run by people other than my husband and myself!!! ::DANCE DANCE:: I can't wait to actually play!!!
11. getting harm undead and destroy undead acid!!!!!!!! It's an alchemists DREAM!!!!!!!
 
Um...it's a bit difficult to come up with season favorites. It all seems like blur.

A few things stick out, in no particular order.

1) Seeing the old tavern again
2) Storming the keep
3) Defending the keep
4) The Sadeen Moorian plot
5) The "Secret Weapon" mod, particularly the end.
6) The blossoming werewolf plot
7) Seeing everyone from the old game
8) Getting to know a certain person with a remarkable lineage, that of an elf, a gypsy, a brit and a jew.

It's a shame that I can't share a lot of my favorite in game moments, because most of the best ones, for plot reasons, can't be divulged, but they live on well in my mind and heart.
 
My first year playing ever!!! It was great and filled with so many great memories, too many to list. But I'll list a few,

Deciding to play a Barbarian. It was literally last minute (decided to when I was in line to sign in my character).

Being caught in the middle of Fae and Barbarian conflicts in my first event. It was awesome.

Ressurecting my second event. Tons and tons of fun.

Doing logistics in October. I still can't get over how much fun that was.

Getting to meet everyone, in and out of game. You guys are the best. I look forward to playing next year!!!

In no particular order, except for maybe the first...


- Summoning a town! Worked OOG for weeks on memorizing that poem.
Town: "WHAT."
Nadarin's group: "WHAT."
Nada: "..."

- Sashi (especially that first look of glee on Sean and Gary's faces when we came up with the idea over Thai food one night)

- The Doom Brigade in general

- Becoming as useful a presence in NPC camp as humanly possible

- The Battle of White Sun

- The Vulgar Gargoyle... I said it before and I'll say it again, that is one sexy tavern.

- Playing Cerulean

- Nadarin bonding with the GOTEC and its associates

- Asharah's progression since the National and watching the Children of Autumn come to life

- Trying to figure out what kind of weird juju Nadarin's got going on

- Skylar plot

- Playing Lithandril, specifically for the roleplay with my Kelseywife

- Pretty much anytime playing Nadarin... Who knew messed-up-edness could be so much fun?


* Getting to know a certain owner who's very bad at subtlety but pretty charming anyway. Funny how this game brings people together, innit?

* All the tiny, private little moments of roleplay. Those are what make the game for me.

* Bonding in and out of game with an utterly amazing group of people


Plans for the future? Vry pantherghast. Don't think it won't happen, dude. I've got my eye on you.

Also, writing bits of plot for you crazy folk.

another fave moment...it was october event..NPC camp...watching justicar crowe and lord orin have a conversation about stuff the players other chars had just experienced and SO acting as though neither one knew what had just happend. the entirety of NPC camp came to a screetching halt and fell silent to listen to the conversation. SO WILD.

getting good pointers from samara in NPC camp about having your own costuming...over the winter we'll be buying little personal prosthetics kits heheheheheh
 
season favs huh?

Hands down, best fav: just the fact that nh is open again. I started in this chapter and although I've been to both coasts to play this game, still by far my fav chapter.

NH tavern. best tavern in the game.

OMG, there's actually a castle!

Treasuring a goblin.

The battle at White Sun and the rit. Knowing things were going to be very bad when we heard magic armors being absorbed

Go Team Sword! Go Team Sword part 2! Go Team Magic Bow! I still say the most bizarre team ever, death loving de and goody goody elf baby.

Darius and Sun making the run back to town with Void and then realizing that not only was the rest of town gone, but there's a marshall behind us.

Watching Void get made. Craig's response after.

You know it's bad when a dragon only knows you and not herself.

There are def more, but thinking before 9 am is not one of my fortes.

vry...you realize no one would be able to help you fight the bad guy...they'd all be ...shunned...you'd be alone...fighting big bad guy...

i agree with vry's above post, i absolutly loved my first event this season
i loved the lone tree site going in may, and then ending with it was great
i still like the fact that in may i was awoken by the sounds of battle crashing through the room i was sleeping in the keep to funny

the permanent site, woot, though at some point im going to have to take a better look in the tavern the little i have seen has rocked

Well I know everyone has said it but I am glad NH is back. I had stopped playing a few months before the old NH had closed and hadn't really thought about going back until one day Jamie Mckible and I were talking about the old site and how awesome NERO was. It coined the phrase "I was a hero once." He comes back from Shane's house that weekend to tell me he say Gary Marvel there and that he is re-opening the NH chapter. It was fate. But here are some of my favorites from this season.

The fort at the Kingston site. I was told by Shane that we would be sleeping in the best part of the site but he wouldn't tell me where.

Seeing everyone again. There are so many people I hadn't seen in almost 4 years and it was great to catch with most of them.

Vanguard of the crimson storm! Never really had a sweet team when I played before, but it is great to have team made up of close friends and awesome folks like Toddy.

Going back to the old site. That place is the home of all of my favorite NERO memories. It was kick a$$ that Brain and Deb let us use it again.

Great plot. I am very happy that the chapter was opened up again by people who wrote plot for it before. You guys did a great job ending some old plot and bringing in new plot with old characters. I remember talking to someone about how we will never see the Zahn die. He was the main bad guy of Syraandor. It was a great opener that he was destroyed.

That is about it. I have posted for all the events I have gone to about my favorites for each one but these are the overall favorites. I was wondering if anyone had any old pictures of the old chapter. I know Craig's wife had a whole lot of them and Lyndsey(Falco, Kelsi,ect..) had some too. If you could link those or send them to me (ohhemegee@gmail.com) that would be keen. Well see you all next season. Have many happy holidays.
