for the riposte skill descriptionin the rule book it says
"you cannot use this skill twice on the same
weapon attack."

does this mean this cannot be used a second time on the same weapon attack by any player
player 1 attacks and player 2 calls riposte so player 1 cannot use a second riposte on the same weapon attack because it has already been used once by player 2
does this mean a single player cannot use this twice on the same weapon attack
player 1 attacks player 2 , 2 calls riposte and then 1calls riposte so then 2 cannot riposte a second time because he has already used a riposte, there for....
what if player one attacks player 2 , player 2 calls riposte and then player 1 calls riposte can player 3 riposte the attack a third time because he has not used a riposte on the attack yet, in turn player 4 then could call riposte and so on and so on, until all players have used it once and cannot use it a second time (given they follow all other rules of the skill)

I heard the its said you cannot riposte a riposted riposte but in the wording it could either sound like you cannot riposte a riposte
or you cannot riposte a riposted riposte but someone else can?

Of the examples given above, this one is correct:

Each player within range may use a single Riposte against a particular weapon blow, after which they may no longer use Ripostes against that same blow.
