Never Winter Nights

So I know some people play this game, and I was wondering how many of you would be interested in playing an online game or more to the point, running one. I've rarely played this game online yet hear that it is a VERY fun way to experience NWN. I know one player in particular who has discussed with me that he ran a game. However, I dont know if he wants everyone to know, so I'll wait for him to acknowledge it.

So um, anyone? :)

yuppers

id be willing to play i am getting a copy from a friend of mine. i will proabbly trying doingmy own mod at somepoint but i want to play it first

My obsession with that game waxes and wanes with the passing months, and currently, it is nothing short of intoxicating.
Ive never even glanced at the DMing things on it, but I would definatly be interested in playing.
SN Bloodoll on their servers

Since the update (which I JUST did for the first time... O_o) Ive fathomed the awesome new things you can buy in game and/or make with the mod maker. Whips (YES!) and really badass robes are among the few things I've seen... SO

I may be making a mod...

I downloaded and played the Ravenloft mod for NWN playing as a belmont (with my own custom "holy avenger" whip named "Vampire Killer")

I used to run a mod I made when the game first came out. It was one of the first original mods available on the public servers. It's not the best mod, primarily being hack and slash, but I could put my server back up if people are interested. It's a somewhat difficult module, with no resting in dungeons (with one exception) and the death penalty is level loss. It requires all the expansion packs.

Having been forced to think about Neverwinter Nights I've gone ahead and started a server with my old mod back up. It can be found under action, server name is Farak's Abode. There's no password set, so anyone can play. There won't be an active DM during the day.

Apparently Game Spy doesn't like my firewall settings. Until I get a chance to figure that out, the server can be connected to via ip address: 66.92.30.144:5121

Unfortunately I dont have all the expansion sets... *sad*

OK, so here we go:

What type of Mod would you all like to see? Like, a theme.

I'm thinking Ravenloft/Castlevania style but give me some ideas that you'd like to see fleshed out. I've been reading the tutorials and think this will be pretty easy to do.

Um... I think the Gemstone server does have a web site... but you don't need it. If you go into the multiplayer online servers and just look for "Gemstone" then you should find it ok. My username is "meltedwing", you can add me as a buddy and it should tell you where the gemstone server is when I'm on it.

Ah, well I was looking for the website for more of a general description of what the server is all about. But I'll see if I can get on tonight. BTW, does it require anything more than the original game? I dont have either of the two expansions.

I found a copy of the mod which I saved before I had the expansion packs. I haven't made any real changes since then, so I'm going to use that version instead.

*glee*
is it under the same title as "Farak's Abode"?

I play off and on still.

I helped DM a campaign that went on for about three months. There were four players and five DM's; we (the DM's) used Ventrillo to communicate out of game to help keep the story/plot consistant (when the players decided to split up). We had a DM assigned to each player, or groups of players as the campaign progressed, and had one or two DM's modifying the levels/areas as we needed them changed.

We started out with one huge, basic world that we created with lots of areas, and changed them as-needed, etc. Was fun.

I only recently hit level 40 (25 Fighter, 5 Bard, 10 Dragon Disciple), and I got the game when it first came out.

I'll have to check our your server sometime.

Update on mod progress: Ive found some really cool scripts to use. One of which includes training dummies that I've placed in my "Slayers Academy" that, when attacked, give small amounts of exp. Which in turn gives the PCs a reason to go "train". It will not, however, let them gain exp past level 3, so they will still have to go adventuring after "graduation". what do you think?

Here we go

Ok, so my Castlevania module is nearly complete, I'm finalizing some little details but were almost ready to launch.

All I need from those of you who want to play is to download this add-on. Here called the Community Expansion Pack (CEP). It contains tons of extra models and creation options along with more portraits (some are ALOT better than the originals) and really nice things like gorgeous shields and CAPES for your armor...

So dont delay!
