KINGSTON SITE AMENITIES & INFO - For Nov Event

Greetings All,

I just found out how many people are coming from other chapters and I thought it would be smart to point out a few things to those that may not know.

This site has 2 PC Cabins. Both sleep aproximately 12-16 and all Bunks must be used. In addition to that, there are a scattering of small hut type buildings, which are essentially 3 walls and a roof on a raised platform. These do have electricity, so if you tarp off the open wall, you should be fine in them.

There is also a Fort that has two levels and sleeps approixmately 12-14. The beds are bolted to the floor so bunks can't be moved together and there is no electricity, but it is a really cool building.

Sleeping arrangements are first come first serve, but I would rather people not show up at the site before 4:30.

Aside from that however, there is plenty of land to pitch a tent on, and the Tavern itself is huge and has a large fireplace which will probably be running all weekend. All players are invited to sleep in the Tavern, but I would suggest an air mattress as the floor is concrete.

There is one designated Cabin for NPC's, so they are all set.

The 2 main cabins and the tavern have either woodstoves or fireplaces, or both, and we are allowed to use them....SAFELY. One person from each cabin will be appointed the fire captain, and will consequently be responsible for tending the fire and keeping it safe all weekend. Fire Extinguishers or buckets of water are required to be on hand whenever fires are being lit.

Wood for the fireplaces and stoves can be used from the site if it is already cut and stacked, or on the ground.

**UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES IS ANYONE ALLOWED TO CUT DOWN A TREE OR PULL BRANCHES**

However, if you find branches already on the ground, you can use them.

The bathrooms are outhouses scattered throughout the site and there is a shower building but I don't know if it will still be in use.

Players are allowed to drive their cars up to the loading area in front of NPC camp, but they must immediately dump their gear and drive the car back down to the parking lot. We can not have a ton of cars parked for hours as that inhibits the game start time and slows down the flow of traffic for others.

If you have any further questions, feel free to email me directly or post here.

Thanks so much and I look forward to seeing you all very soon.

i stayed in the fort in may and it was pretty cool except for the no elecricity part
and i was so tired on saturday night i didnt get woken up by the huge battle going on outside untill people started crashing through the upper level which i thought was funny. i thought about grabbing my gear and joining in the fight but it ended like 5 mins after i had gotten woken up. :P
then i went back to sleep. i still think thats funny.

We slept in the upper level of the fort our first event. One thing we found out is that you can hear everything the barbarians staying below you are saying...especially the stuff about your wife and her battle bikini. So you might want to make sure you don't talk too loud :D

<,< >,>

Nothing beats you crashing down the stairs and breaking our door down when Jamie offered to service 1,000,000 Men for a damage aura. ;)

I don't quite recall it that way. I don't think I crashed down the stairs nor broke down your door. I merely took the opportunity to mock someone.
