Okay me and the wife are going to be coming back next month and every moth there after. The event was awesome. Here are a few of my favorites in no paticular:

-Booping a griffin on the nose with celestial magic
-Coming to the realization that maple syrup is really dryad blood
-Meeting everyone and finding out just how much I missed being in the nero world
-Fortress facedive in the creek
-All the Dryads talking in the room on friday night
-"Hello, I am thomas and I am a manure salesman."
-Bills food, seriously it was very good cooking
-Trying to talk to Varishka and calling her the wrong name twice only to be downed by her.
-Looking around as I finished my death count in the final wave battle and seeing all the town lying dead on the ground.
-Learning about ashbury and the ash forest from Ezri
-I know I will have more and will add to as they come to me, and again to any of the people who npc, esspecially the girl that played Gulac(sp?), thank you all. It was an amazing weekend and I am already planning next event that I am pcing.

Just for consistency of spelling

-Supek
-Varishik

I am so bone tired that actual favorites will have to wait.

Wow. Just wow. I <3 HQ and HQ staff.

---Thank you NPC's! You were all awesome and fun to fight against. And now you've got that damn chant stuck in my head! EAT THE BABIES! I apologize in advance but I'm stealing it and making it my war chant. Though I don't eat babies, I do eat the bodies.

---Trollfishing. Thomas. Monty's Mead. Vanguard, you guys were very fun to hang out with, especially when drunk.

---Biata plot, yo. I can't believe I tried to take on a super ancient griffin. Not one of my smarter moves. speaking of...

---"Kantil, you wanna do something stupid?!" Bopping a griffin on the nose and then having it lay waste to a troll encampment. None of us could believe how well it worked.

---Trolls. Big mean ones. The 'stone-born' were a blast to RP with. I even got a reason as to why trollweed is called trollweed. Who knew you just had to ask the trolls.

---Loken. First the mind meld, then beating on the guardian to save your mind, then the catatonic Kantil when your permed. As if I wasn't broken enough, you go and break me more. Greg you're the man, Loken you'll be missed.

---Taunting Duke Frost. My only thought, "Maybe if I wish hard enough Kantil can grow wings and gtfo"

---Love Potion #9. Yay for feeling like the popo.

---Catboat. Dwarfsub. MWE Pleasure Cruiser. Dryadnaught. Human row boat. Stone Elf AAC.

---Valeria and Victoria! Val for letting me somehow buy her from a dwarf and Victoria for being an awesome little MWE.

---I won't go on and on though I very well could. The event was awesome and thanks to everyone that made it possible. Thanks to all the PC's I got to interact with as well! Can't wait for the next one!

This was a great opener. Here are some of my favorites ...

-- The reaction to the idea of using manure in a bag as hand warmers.
-- A berserked, laughing Ulthoc only to have the same thing happen to me. Except I was tackled to the ground.
-- Being left by the river in a prison after getting a prison baned back on me.
-- The food! Delicious!
-- Do I sell biscuits to get coin or do I get my breakfast? Tough decision for a hobbling!
-- The NPC’s! So many of them!
-- Maple syrup = Dryad blood. That was funny. I may never look at a dryad the same ever again.

That's all I can think of at the moment, but there were so many more.

It was a great plot and a great weekend. Thanks to all involved who helped create it!

As always, this is never an exhaustive list because I always forget things!

-- Thanks to Mike Strauss for writing and directing a great event & to everyone who made it as awesome as it was!
-- Getting mistaken for a new player more times than I can count, even by people who I've known for the better part of a decade -- guess my costuming worked!
-- All things Tammy, Dustin, Dave, Em, Henry & Danielle - seriously had an awesome weekend rolling with you guys!
-- "Uh, Where's T'zel?? Inama?? ... Him -- by the way does anyone remember the Ograthi's name -- I just try to avoid calling him anything... anyone???"
-- Crossing a bridge from Barran to Ashbury and being convinced we might be lost somewhere in T'zel's head. Especially when we saw the paintings of HIGH elves and Biata in the tavern!
-- Trying to explain to the Dryads there why we should defer to the male chosen of the sky... and him outright refusing, meaning poor Qualin became the defacto battle leader...
-- Rei & Rowan believing that poor Alda must have been miswoken ;)
-- TROLLSLAYER!!! ELEMENTAL BLADE!!! I'm level 3 and I effectively swing 20's!!!!
-- "Qualin, you know a lot about undead.. Tell us, why do ghoul lords animate lobsters, and why are they so in need of love?"
-- Hairy Hosen
-- "I'm sorry I got so angry, you all just looked SOO STUPID and metal..."
-- Gawain's stories and his ability to some how fit in with everyone despite his weird ears and blue hair.
-- "I'm on my 3rd cup of tea! It's going to my head!"
-- "They said their dragons only care about magic??? They won't help to prison a giant evil vampire in an extended prison until they can kill it." And the subsequent look on Inama's face.
-- Getting to introduce some people to Gettysburg plot! :) WOO HOO GETTYSBURG!
-- Remembering how much I LOVE playing a fighter.
-- Finding a hobbling to sell scones so I didn't have to
-- "Loofa's get ALL the makeup off"
-- Mommy talk with Kathy (Mouse) in the tavern
-- "The dark side of the Tree"
-- Side Bark
-- "Seriously, why would you follow ME?"
-- Consistently forgetting that Anna was human.. and the constant stream of "No offense", and "Human's aren't necessarily bad as individuals..."
-- Of forests and necromancers and varying "paths of redemption"
-- "It's like eating your favorite food..."
-- "Your stoneborn are black? Your high elves are good and your dryads are snuggly? This really is opposite world."
-- "Max"

Ahh.. what am I forgetting -- I KNOW there is a lot more..

Exhausted, possibly sick, and my bruises have bruises. Signs of an AMAZING weekend! Some faves, in no particular order:

- All things Vanguard. Vigilance and Valor! Except, why did I have to go through BOTH free rezzes in my first 2 days on the squad? :pinch:
- SUSIE LEE. Oh my god I love this chick. SO excited for tourney now! I haven't gotten the chance to nerd out about music in FAR too long, I seriously need to write down the in-period songs I know so we can jam next time!
- All things Justin Coggin. Man, you can entertain everyone around you for as long as you care to do so with seemingly no effort at all, and then go into seriously intense roleplay and just NAIL it and bring everyone else to a higher level of playing. You're amazing!
- The Break Huleen game. "zuuuuuchiiiiiiniiiiiii..." Maggie you're completely insane and I love it. Gregor and the other folks at the table as well, you guys rock!
- Gypsy supermod! Bwahahaha.
- Dwarven drinking parties! My team is RIDICULOUS and awesome.
- WEDDINGS! And oh god that raccoon guy AGAIN, I though my ribs were going to break from laughing so hard.
- NPCs. You guys rocked it SO HARD, so much energy and enthusiasm all weekend, you were serious superheros. Folks, with a 3/2 ratio the plot staff can do so much more in the way of crazy awesome stuff, do your part when you can!
- Fishing for trolls! Chad and Lopez, thanks for the food!
- Dwarfapalooza AND dryadapalooza. I don't think I've ever seen this many of either race in game at the same time and it made things SO cool.

My brain is completely shot and I can't think of all the other shenanigans that happened, but rest assured they were awesome.

Seriously I had an AMAZING time, I now have to PC next event (two in a row?!? WHAT?!?) just because of all the awesome this time around. Can't wait! Thank you SO MUCH everyone that helped make this event so incredible!

Hahaha - I know! I couldn't believe how many there were.. and everyone (almost) seemed to be a barkskin.. haha

id like to first thanks the pc's for one awesome weekend and thanks for so many killing blows lol i gotta say the favorites for me was more then likely
---he last battle on Sunday that me and the rest of the npc's tried hard and had a lot of fun with you guys. with that last battle was the honor fight at the end that made the day go out with a bang and a lot of us laughing at the killing blows of furry.
---i will say it was also alot of fun during the night battle as me and a few other npc were calling out the dwarfs to come fight.
i look forward to see you all again at the next event but hopefully il have my pc ready to go so i don't end up feeling all your blades of furry. :)

first of all thanks to all the PC's and NPC's. It is not fun not to have anyone to play with let alone play against. I hope to see most if not all of you next month! (PCing two events in a row....never happened on this site!)

Highlights:
- Going on a module. I never go on modules! (more later)
- Realizing I might have a team to travel with that is fully equiped with a healer!!!
- Making a two man corkscrew attempt with Ignatius on the Duke!
- After said Corkscrew fell apart (it was not supposed to be just us) realizing just in time how unlikely it was that the Duke had a dispel.
- Going through every spell shield, poison shield and purify in menory, item and potion in tracking the Duke all the way to the River!
- Working breakfast after just waiting for Coffee and having no one else to talk to
- The look I got when I told someone that "well I have to sleep in my war, but if you look you will see the W on the windshield so I guess I am not cheating that badly
- Having extra blankets for cold peeps.
- Fighting all you NPC's all weelend, including a couple of masterful leg shots from range I took!
- RP with Gulak all weekend. I think it is about the first time Simon has spent time interfacing with plot for any period. Its kind of weird...
- Not missing the real start of game
- For all the yuck of the weather, it could have been so much worse, and I was expecting it to be...so yay weather!

Stellar thought of the event.

The mod I went on, written by a certain Mike Strauss as I understant, was one of the most cleverly designed and conceptualized modules I have been on in all my years in any LARP I have been a part of. Top shelf sir. Congrats.

See you all in a month.

Joe S.

Okay, first of all, I want to give a HUGE thank you to HQ Staff, HQ Plot and the *awesome* NPCs for an amazing event. I had a tremendous amount of fun. here are some of my highlights:

* Being killing-blowed by Duke Frost.......... twice! Thanks, my liege!

* After a nasty battle against the Duke, being told by Scott that Ivan was "surprisingly effective." LOL

* Great role-playing with Squire Trevor, Dame Aven, Sir Daniel and Sir Ignatius regarding the fall-out of Trevor's decision to follow the Duke's order to attack

* For me, there's not much better than an angry and defiant Sir Ignatius in a role-playing situation. Brian Bender is the nicest guy and watching him be so dedicated to the intensity of Sir Ignatius is amazing (and sometimes a little scary.....).

* Great role-playing with Flint and Grim regarding their "transfer" to the "Liberate Trellheim" team.

* Conversations in the Healer's Guild are always entertaining, especially when the topics are a bit "bawdy" as Ivan embarrasses easily.

* Confronting Quallen about his PDA ("public display of affection") only to have him turn the tables back on Ivan for his own indiscretions.

* Making Rowen a recognized and full-fledged member of the Blythedale team.

* Helping Khorwyn complete a major goal by getting Baron Harrison's celestrial sword transferred off Ulthoc and onto him.
Khorwyn: I've been working on this and I can't find the scroll or the components I need.....
Ivan (ten minutes later): Hey, I talked to Andros and he has all the stuff you need.
Khorwyn: What???

* Teasing Nathan as he completes the ritual.

* Team Blythedale! I love playing the game with you guys!

* Sitting on the bank of the stream with Ithica and Agrippa, enjoying the nice day, then taunting trolls into our whirlwind of blades

I'm sure there's more, but I'll have to post later when I remember them all!

Just in case it isn’t evident – I utterly adore EVERYONE and EVERYTHING about this game. I’ll try not to write a full-length novel for my favorites, but… yeah, this weekend was amazing.

-Thank you to ALL THE CRAZY AWESOME NPCs and everyone else who works so hard behind the scenes to make events like this happen! Please keep doing what you’re doing, cause you’re freaking GOOD at it, and it is VERY appreciated! :D

-VALOR AND VIGILANCE. Working with the Vanguard is such an amazing experience. Everyone on that team has done so much to help Alda learn and grow… We each play such a unique and important role, and we work so well together, I can’t believe how awesome it is. Let me break it down:
*Unending emotional support from Grim. I dunno how you do it, but (other than her siblings/the forest and making music,) nothing can calm Alda like you can.
*Backpacking Flint, and witnessing both his incredible leadership and relentless shenanigans, depending on the situation!
*Playing complimentary healer roles with Tinder. Dude. You best be coming back a lot.
*Studying and researching with Monty. And might I just add, AMAZING COSTUME AND RP, BUDDY! <3
*MEETING AND IMMEDIATELY BONDING/MAKING MUSIC WITH FERA, AAH! <3 <3 <3
*Watching with complete awe as Chulainn WRECKS every enemy he advances upon (Dude seriously, wow. IG and OOG I respect you so much for the terror your Gorbe unleashes.)
*And of course, just being in the presence of the amazing wisdom and leadership of Ignatious and Aven. Oh my goodness, I seriously can’t over-emphasize how much Alda reveres Ignatious. You’re freaking brilliant. I love all you guys SO. MUCH.

-SO MANY CHILDREN OF AUTUMN!!!!!!! I’ve never seen that many! I LOVE having family around! SUCH GOOD RP!

-All other forest-lovers who continually RP amazingly and work so hard to love and protect the earth. Ezri, Qualin, Leona… You three always bring Alda such peace and inspiration, both reminding her of the good days before the sleep, and motivating her to continue to better the world and spread the love of the forest to all other living creatures. Also, Mouse!! Your love of the forest and help with all our issues is amazing!! <3 <3 <3
-The fact that Vanguard refused to disguise themselves as trolls, or even remotely cooperate with any of those trolls. OOG a bummer to not go on any mods, but IG it was an amazing bonding experience. We’re so on the same page. Spending all this time with dwarves is really adding an interesting twist into Alda’s character. I freaking LOVE it.

-LOCHABAR APPEARANCE, RED MADNESS COMING BACK! I AM TERRIFIED, MY WORLD IS FALLING APART, I AM FREAKING OUT, AND IT IS AWESOME.

-Andros and Izer. I had freaking awesome RP moments with both of you this weekend, and I REALLY love characters who appreciate the importance of research, and will be all book-nerd-y with me!
-Swift Eagle! Sorry your beautiful real Elven name is so hard to remember, but dude, you rocked. Thanks for rezzing me. I’m kinda bummed Alda doesn’t know you were the one who did it IG, and that you don’t actually fully remember the story that resurrected you… but having that experience and remembering it OOG … just phenomenal.

-LEROY. AND. CHARLIE. Holy cow. That RP was so intense, I don’t think the tavern was ready for it. You needed some SERIOUS therapy and nurturing, and there is NOTHING Alda loves doing more than helping people like that! And no, the problem is not totally fixed, but she will STICK WITH YOU until it is!
-More bonding/helping/working with Amaranthus. Not only did we have such fun RP while working in the kitchen all weekend, but the fact that you found me during the last wave battle and trusted me to work with you to try to get people off the ground… I was honored. Just wish I could have done a better job of it! I look forward to working with you more in the future!!

-Having variety of battle experience such that one night I felt like a horrible backpacker who could not do anything and should go back to hiding on the porch, but the next morning felt like I made a significant difference in stopping necromancers and aiding my team. Character development FTW!!

-Oh, carpooling with Willow and Mike! Yes, there were some ... unexpected adventures… but I’m so happy to meet newer players and have great company! :D

Ok, I should probably stop myself. I’m sure I’ve forgotten some things, but (enter Boromir) one cannot simply… turn an endlessly amazing weekend into a short and simple list!

Love you guys!! Can’t wait til next time!!!!!

(PS: You know you have a wonderful and effective LARP atmosphere going on when people's favorites lists are all SO long and SO different from one another!! Huzzah, well-developed fantasy world!!)

Great game,
Thanks to all the NPC's

Favs,

Being with Blythedale and the guys.

Being angry with Daniel and over coming it.

Watching Iggy call Trevor a tool.

One of my absolute favs was when Trevors soldiers were fighting, and Ithica was trying to talk to the soldiers. One of the NPC females seemed so sad and taken back and she apologized for having to attack and asked me to forgive her. Very compelling and said.

Seeing all the dryads running around. And Being taught the flute by Alda.

I enjoyed when the 3 men under love 9 effects came in and we had them compete for the girls love lol. You guys did great!

Dinner with good friends.

All things Amaranthis.

I enjoyed some great RP moments with Ezri, Tinder, Flint, Simon, Amanranthas and the Girl playing the Page Annabella was it? im terrible with names, but yeah she was like my sidekick in crime during all my tavern shenanigans!

The battles in the woods and the new Vansir played by Shannon, "ill set the trap off" lol , awesome meeting you Ithica hopes to hang again!

Good talks with Baron Drake

My Friend Ian / Agrippa being back at Nero.

Card Tricks for gold!

Ithicas brother Khorwyn and how many still ask if we are brothers!

Final battle sunday and how it came to an end.

and of coarse Ithica getting married to Drifa by a Racoon Scavenger Christopher Walken ha.

-Toddy

I had an AMAZING weekend. First and foremost, I love to LARP because its my stress relief from work. As tired as sore as I am, its great to be able to go away for a weekend and interact with everyone in a different setting than I'm used to.

Biata plot, from collapsing at the cave entrance to, needing an anchor, to screaming out for help when T gave a killing blow to Lady Zat. It was all fun, it was all amazing, and best of all it just wasn't only Biata. Others had to be included not of the blood.

The fighting through the weekend: The amount of NPCs and their relative skill(I gotta admit I underestimated the new guys, and I'm sure a lot of us on the PC side did as well) was impressive. After the first battle I gained a quick and healthy respect for their numbers and their abilities, blown calls not withstanding (who doesnt blow a call on occasion), the NPCs did a superb job and made this weekend that much better.

Playing possum...I got it right this weekend. Balls hit me with a life spell and rather than get up and go berserk, I opened an eye, waited for the NPCs to pass by me, got up and waylaid 5 of them in a row. Best 12 build spent ever.

Speaking of waylay, Balls pushing an NPC back toward me as I crept forward..when I was just outside of waylay range, he goes boo...she jumps back, I get the waylay off and she looks up at me as I smile down at her and watch her collapse into an unconscious pile on the ground.

"Those aren't bridesmaids, those are prostitutes..." <---This line still has me laughing a few days after hearing it.

"Burn, pillage, kill, destroy, burn, pillage, kill, destroy...eat the babies!" <----Still stuck in my head. Damn it.

RP- I met some new people with Loken, and hell I wish I had the chance to keep going with the interactions. But I am glad that I managed to give someone personal plot. Its tough being a new player sometimes and hell my death came at the right moment. Speaking of which....the RP that took place with my body in the tavern. I was calm and composed, and even laughing at times( Thanks Collin, thanks Kyle), but the simple things...Henry taking a knee and not saying anything(I remember hearing in the background that his people honor the dead by remaining silent), Laurien crying over me and apologizing to me for the field rezz(I couldnt hold back the tears), a copper being placed under my tongue....etc. etc...you guys get it. That made my weekend. Its a memory that I'll carry with me forever.

I look forward to hopping the fence as I hammer out a new character and work to give you guys a quality NPC.

Yay for second time PCing! This might become an addiction of sorts, although I do miss NPC camp every time I want free coffee. Anyway...valeria's favorites (and some of mine as well):

- Being able to play Val as a drunken sailor wench was refreshing. We should go to Dockside more often, although I'd worry Nathan might encounter more of his illegitimate children. Speaking of which - Willow, you ROCK!
- Nathan Westwind is a butt. Robb, you made Valeria feeling like an *** feel AWESOME. I don't know why she kept going back for more, but at least she got a snazzy new shirt out of the deal.
- JUSTIN COGGIN. I love you and want to drink a whole bunch of (real) booze with you. Robb and Amanda...well, you already know you're my favorite people ever. It was awesome to get some Val/Leona awkward confusing sexual tension back on, hahaha. Where DO butterflies go when they res, anyway?
- Getting trashed on dwarven ale with...I don't even know who all was there, just that it was mostly beards. So much for never drinking "dwarf pee" again. It was worth it to see Castlebur knock over all the chairs in the tavern, though.
- Lochabar's entrance into the tavern was the third time I have ever felt terrified for my life at a LARP event, and it felt GREAT! I never knew I could fit myself so quickly and quietly underneath a wooden cot already occupied by two bags and a pair of boots.
- Any and all shenanigans in the overpopulated Dragon cabin. But mostly Collin punching a wasp to death. And Bacon.
- Dwarven hookers. NOTHING HAPPENED, I DON'T CARE WHAT KANTIL AND HIS GREEN HAMMER HAVE TO SAY ON THE MATTER.
- All the NPCs, especially Wavy Hair/Frilly Wrists dude, and everyone I laugh gassed repeatedly. You deserved it :D
- Waylaying Donna's soldier = awwww yeaaaaaaah. Getting Castlebur's silver shortsword shattered = oops.
- I love that I died. It hurt a lot and I had to be naked for a while, but THANK YOU for putting the terror back into the game.

There is a ton, ton, ton more, but...well, we all know how that goes. Also I kinda want to go make pizza.

THANK YOU EVERYONE <3

Valeria Vestri/Emily O'Neil

First and foremost, my favorite part of the weekend was every NPC who entertained us this weekend.

Secondly, my favorite part was every NPC who entertained us this weekend.

- TERMS OF (PSYCHIC) ENRAMPAGEMENT - Laguna uses Cause Pain of a bunch of poor folk in the friday battle while crazy.
- The Biata Plot. Thanks be to Mike Strauss for urging me to PC this weekend. You were right.
- Crazy Laguna for most of the weekend. Thanks to Sarah Heimbach and Rayna for being his anchor.
- Brian Whitham for running a tight ship as GM.
- Losing my voice crunching.
- I don't always perform weddings, but when I do CHRISTOPHERWALKENRACCOONKIN.
- Three hour Thomas chats. KSprig, JCogg, SLee, FWill and many more.
- Thou shalt not recoil before thine enemy. Period.
- Dying.
- Dying.
- I DIED.

Thanks be to all who brought HQ back into full swing this weekend.

Alas, I return to my post NPCing next event, but this...

This is just the beginning.

Collin

Man, there are so many favorites from this weekend, I had a pretty awesome time. Thank you to everyone that helped make the event great.

-working the kitchen crew as a character that has made it very clear that she cannot cook.
-fighting the instinctive reaction to respond to calls for a healer
-"Did you just call yourself a scaredy-rogue?"
-Flankies! Getting to be battle buddies with Lanna's drawf
-The Wedding! it was epic for so many reasons.
-roleplaying and running around with Lokan all weekend
-Realizing that Daniel and Kida think WAY too much alike at times
-gaurding the Duke at one point during the battle while he was prisoned, stepping behind him and drawing invisible x's over his kidneys with my short sword, because just in case the prison dropped, "x marks the spot"
-surviving the last wave battle and attempting some last ditch daring heroics, too bad it was too late.
-The crazy honor combat mod between Amaranthis and the troll.
-I did in fact take an arrow to the knee
-swatting a berzerk out of the air with my mace and calling a dodge because I really didn't want to fight whichever dwarf was standing next to me at the time.
-Fighting berzerked Ithica
-So much roguing!
-hanging in the healer's guild
-So much character angst! Having to choose an anchor Kida trusts and knowing that there was no one in town that would work and finally having both Zat and Daniel suggest Ulthoc
-Scarey T is Scarey.
-"where's the duke?" "we put him in time out, he's in the ward"

I'm sure I'll remember more as more people post them. Thank you again everyone, I had a great time.

My first event and there's already too many to list. Oi ve!

-Definitely thanks to the NPCs for completely scaring me at times and making me run for my life everywhere
-Sneaking onto the battlefield the first night like a bad dryad
-Staying up almost all of Friday night and talking to all of the dwarves because they're amazing!
-Learning about lying, dramatic irony, verbal irony, situational irony, and hypocrisy (Thank you Laguna!)
-Starting the Let's Break Huleen game that soon spread to the dwarves and gypsies!
-Speaking of breaking Huleen I LOVE YOU LUKA and your zucchini!
-Also I love my little big sister Alda and driving her nuts by doing the exact opposite of what she tells me I should do
-Getting drunk with dwarves and tackling Huleen into the bar and then falling on a table, following by following Castlebur and putting the chairs he was overturning right
-"Guys there's people outside and they're yelling at me..." "What?! No one yells at our little dryad!" (Thank you Flint or Tinder which ever one said that)
-Joining the Nordenn court on my first event! (Did not expect that one!)
-Gulak (NPC Tracey) sneaking up behind me numerous times and scaring me half to death before the memory swap
-The pride after the final battle when so many of you graciously complimented my healing on the field
-Finally my new goal of becoming a full-blown battle medic!

Thank you everyone so much for making my first event this amazing! I can't wait until the next one!
