New player "character creation"

Good morning,
This is my first venture into Larping and I was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to give me some help on doing a correct character build? I have the basic idea from the rule book I just have questions on classes and skills.

My first advice would be to NPC a few times to figure out what you want. Not only does it help you get familiar with the rules and such, but gives you a feel for how you may want your first character to be.
