Can you play a wylderkin that is based on an animal that is OOG extinct?

Would this be a chapter specific issue, or an alliance as a whole issue considering the transfer of a character to other chapters would be possible?

While this is not explicitly disallowed by the rules, I would advise that you consult with your local plot heavily before attempting to integrate a Scavenger (er... Wylderkin) based on an extinct animal. Your plot team will want to consult with you on why the racials you pick and character background described will fit with the chosen animal, and there are likely to be large gaps in this knowledge for extinct animals. Again, as with almost all Wylderkin-related questions, it's really up to your plot team.

ARC cannot guarantee that *any* specific Wylderkin might transfer from one chapter to another, thus, we cannot guarantee that one based on a no-longer-existant creature might transfer.
