Following the coronation of Shibboleth Varik a large green and gold dragon was spotted soaring all over the island of Tanaryn spreading the ashes of his fallen friend. Over the next few days much was accomplished. Wystlin, finally free from his two-millenia curse with the death of the chaos dragon Asteroth, went with the newly crowned Queen Shibboleth Varik to Dalkath. The defeated king Arthrias Dalkani, who had surrendered to the Queen at Stillrun, gathered those of his people who wished to follow him and take them back to Astoria. The Chancellors who survived the battle of Stillrun were captured and the halls of the Chancellory were searched. The Chancellors were all sentenced to death on crimes of crimes of necromancy, theft, kidnapping and murder. The Queen repealed the warrants for Wystlin, Akrelta, the Children of Autumn, and all other friends of the new Crown. With these actions, the Free People of Tanaryn were able to begin rebuilding in peace. But there was still much work to do. Undead, trolls, and other villainous monsters still troubled the land, and while their lord and two of their Princes had been destroyed, Teun’Ver remained as a threat even as it tore itself apart in civil war.

The Yelanesti of Archer’s Wood returned home and began to accept trade with the dwarves and members of the Roto Tribe, opening their home to outsiders for the first time in over a thousand years. They were less hostile towards, but still unfriendly with, the House of Tyne who suffered brutal losses in the face of the massive drider onslaught that surfaced near Stillrun. The few Dark Elves who survived remained mostly underground working to regain control of the tunnels from the driders, who sank back into the depths of the Underdark and have never since been spotted above ground. Similarly, since the day of the Battle for a New Tanaryn there has not been a single Ratling spotted on the island; their successful assault on the Black Dawn surrounding Stillrun had wiped their kind from the land.

The Knights of Aneyal returned home to mourn the loss of their eldest member and begin in earnest the search for a new Lord to fill the long vacant Seat of the Star as well as the renamed Short-Feather Seat in honor of Lord Telian. The Knights were given special authority under Queen Shibboleth to seek out and destroy sources of taint on the land. They were discovered to have been hiding a total of twelve obliterate scrolls from falling into the hands of Grand Chancellor Duverik. These scrolls were utilized on captured members of the Chancellory.

The city of Dalkath was renamed New Varin in honor of the old capital that stood in the hills between Stillrun and Archer’s Wood. Those loyal to the Dalkani left the land and were never heard from again. The Black Dawn, their numbers decimated by the onslaught of Ratlings, resurrected to find their master dead and the five remaining princes of Teun’Ver all claiming the throne of Asteroth. Unsure of the proper course of action they took steps to defend the throne room and continue to protect it as if there is still something of great value inside.
