While I don't agree, I at least understand.

The article said players are sent for psych evals. Half od those people are placed on low security clearance. Role-playing has long been associated with disturbed youths, with a fuzzy line between fantasy and reality.

While most of the gamers I know are stable successful individuals, I have known my fare share of said "fuzzy line role-players".

It's important to them, because they're dealing with their nation's army, and national security....

Gee I know so many people who would love to join the Israel Armed Forces. Good thing we don't live in Israel.....Wonder if the armies around Crocevia would feel the same way?

I'm kind of amused. The article itself has changed since I first posted the link yesterday. #1, the original article contained no references to LARPers. #2, two of the photos of LARPers have been have been swapped out for pics of Dragonlance novels.
