I am uncertain if any of you were able to view the last promotional for NERO, but this last quarter the committee for my major (video production) gave it the thumbs down. The reason why they did so was largely due in part to two mistakes I should have seen. First and foremost, no one knew what it was, they didn't get that it was a Live Action Role Playing Game. Secondly, it really didn't tell a story which supported the first finding more so. This quarter I am hoping to reshoot the project because quite frankly I would love to have a piece dedicated to NERO in my demo reel for potential employers and players to see. However I need the cooperation of our fine Role Playing community and the owner's approval, of course. I would like to attend one of the gamedays and do some FAQs with Marshels, NPCs, and PCs. If I can get approval soon I hopefully could do my shooting by the April 25th Game Day. The time in between would give me enough time to prep for the occassion (ex: storyboards, questionaire/script, shot list, etc).
I am already getting excited about drawing up the storyboard (s), but I'm holding back until I get a yes. I am willing to cooperate with you guys as much as you will let me. I was thinking if this project did get approved I could post up some pre-made questions that would give a generic idea of what I may ask in order to better prepare some of you. For approvals or thumbs down from the big kahunas I'd prefer a private message. I'll understand perfectly fine if you guys want nothing more to do with cameras. Thank you everyone!
