Kai tosses and turns in her bunk, trying to nap during the afternoon but finding herself extremely restless. She shifts again and finds herself staring across the isle-way at Darian's empty bunk. She huffs a moody sigh and turns over, this time with her face to the wall. Why do they have to be so distracting, she wonders. The warmer summer weather seems to be making her blood boil, and she sits up a moment to peal off her rabbit fur vest. Ears brushing the underside of the other bunk, her thoughts turn to her charming upstairs neighbor, Evo. She chews her lower lip in thought as she hangs her vest on the hook. What is wrong with me? I never remember being so hot and bothered during the summer as a youth. Perhaps that would be part of the problem, for with the passing of this last month (and another denning day) she is no longer a youth, but an adult. She tosses and turns again, mind as restless as her body. Is that what Kumari meant about things changing in the spring? I wish she was around to ask, but I suppose that would be a two edged sword of it's own. She spends a long moment envisioning the lively Sarr's pretty face, and sighs again. Finally she drags herself from the bunk, "f--- this" she mutters. "I might as well get something done."
She gathers up an armload of her alchemy supplies, and heads out to the deck. Getting settled in a spot in the sun, she turns her attention to her work. While producing alchemy isn't hard, it takes a certain amount of focus, and the detailed task calms her agitation as her pile of elixirs swells.
