Armour refit question

Okay, here's one I came up with at work today, cause that's all I have to do there while running the machines. If I have an active Repel spell up, can I still refit my armour while holding my hand up and keeping the spell active? Under Repel, it sais that I can use the other hand to perform any other IG actions as long as I keep the hand up. Under refitting armour, it states that I can "perform no other Game Abilities". It does not state that I need both hands unoccupied to do this, and the Repel spell does not describe holding up the hand as a game ability, so there ya go. Ruling?

That?s a tough one Jeff,
Someone else could refit your armor with out too much question.
But doing it your self brings up the question of consternation. Who knows the official ruling on that?

I don't know whether it's currently official- but years ago this was ruled a negatory that you could not keep it active. It was argued over and over till the sun burned away to nothingness!

Repel and Desecrate were actually the culprits for the debate- and wither limb also came into it at one point (the whole "what if both arms are withered?"). A whole list of other activatible questions also came up as to whether or not you could activate an item and throw or even activate and accept while refitting.

Cans of worms I tell you! Cans of worms!
