I do imagine that this will still be true.. not everyone will be able or willing to take advantage of the annual pass, so these people should have a distinct advantage in being guaranteed a cabin spot. possibly an unmentioned benefit of having the pass..

You could always disguise your new backstory as being "true" and that you lied about everything else previously, to protect your identity, or because you left under embarrassing conditions etc. that might actually add a fun level of complexity to your character if you're into that sort of thing :)
