Anyone know of any other kid LARP events in the NY/NJ area this summer through other LARP groups* or cons or other places? My son is 11 so can't attend regular events but would like to check it out at an event for kids. Thanks! * Yes, I know, there AREN'T any other LARP groups but Alliance! ;)

Coincidentally I received email today from a friend in Massachusetts I haven't spoken to in awhile. I let him know about John and he replied: "John Finnegan died?" "That blows my mind." "I'm actually sad about it and I haven't seen the man in 12+ years." That last sentence says plenty.

I'm sure you guys will think of something after the shock wears off but maybe a region or NPC or something in the game could be named for John or one of his characters. It was obvious to anyone who knew him that he loved the game so much and he has helped and influenced so many people that it...

John was one of the constants in the NERO events I attended off and on through the years. A great roleplayer and storyteller and all around nice guy. This is a tremendous loss to anyone who knew him, even if only casually. My condolences to his family and friends. Mitch Gross
