Awesome, thanks for the heads up. So where is the New Player Orientation next Friday (3 April?)? I would love to make it, meet some people, and at least get a chance to get an understanding of how everything works.

OK, so based on that I should probably go ahead and find a way to get my weapon approved? Or should I start making a home-made one now? Since I'm down in the Springs, I'm not sure what the chances are of getting it checked prior to my first game in a few weeks and I don't want to get caught...

So to play on that, and ask another question, can you use a latex weapon? I wasn't sure about weapon construction so I ordered a LARP latex battleax for my character to use.

Thank you very much. I had no idea what was the norm at a game, so thanks for the heads up. If I get into the game maybe I can bring a small keg of NO alcohol mead and see if anyone likes it.... which is kind of hard not to since it tastes like honey!

Cool, thanks for the heads up. I was curious because, even though I don't drink, I do enjoy brewing beer and mead for friends and family. I, personally, enjoy pre-alcohol mead... mostly because it's really sweet and I love the taste of honey. Thanks again for the info!

So, as I've never been before, is alcohol served in the tavern? I know it's listed as a No-No in the rules, but I wasn't sure if there was a local exception? I don't drink myself (for personal reasons)... just curious is all.

Hi Gem! I'm in a similar boat; I've always wanted to play, but never had much of an oppurtunity (the one time I showed up I ended up leaving because of my job). Hopefully we'll both have a blast!!

Sorry for not being able to make it; I had really hoped to be there, see how it's done, and meet some people. Hopefully I'll be able to attend the next one, assuming this one was a success.
