If he is talking a scout with RiposteS. Then said scout has at least 4 profs and 4 stabs. That's respectable damage. Paolo is a similar build just replacing the resist element for a dodge. I'm a huge fan of the "tank" scouts.

Valid point. I forgot about the original question. I presented a solution earlier... nuke the spell or change its base function.

Wouldn't they all just be fighters since the build costs would be the same either way? I mean... they buy spells as a fighter just as cheaply as they would as a scholar. So why not be a fighter and get the bonus body and 40 pt armor cap?

1. There is no high magic ability to swing magic. 2. Just because there aren't magic to hit monsters doesn't mean magic blade is wasted. There are TONS of monsters that are immune to normal weapons where a Magic carrier would work just fine.

Even if we were to assume 25 in the entire Alliance (just to be generous) and compare that the the number of players it is clearly not the single UBER items so much as the proliferation of smaller items stacked on people. This leads me to be more concerned with the number of rituals a person...

I dunno... it feels like the OOG impretus for this purely hypothetic race is to to plant characters into the game that would reduce the chances for item bloat. Since item bloat is considered a huge problem... why would we NOT want to have this race be popular? Shoot... while were at it why...
